What are search engine rankings?

A site's search engine ranking is the position where it first appears in a search.

For example: if someone searches for "ball bearings" and your site is the first in the search results list, your site is ranked number one for that search.

What is link popularity?

TrafficDriver's link popularity report shows how often other sites have linked to your website.

Link popularity is important, as major search engines give a high ranking to websites which are linked to by other websites.
